Congratulations on picking your dress for your special day!
The next step is to have your beautiful dress tailored to fit you perfectly and to your taste.
Typical Bridal Alterations
Hem
Hems can be shortened to suit your height. If the dress has a train, don’t worry your dress can still be hemmed and the train will look exactly as intended. If your dress has embellishments like scalloped lace or applique on the hem, the dress still can be shortened by removing the embellishments and reattaching them after the dress is hemmed.
The price will vary depending on the amount of layers, the type of fabric and whether any embellishments need to be moved.
Taking in side/ chest
Most brides will need alterations on the sides or chest. When your dress fits perfectly the difference is amazing.
Shoulders
Lifting at the shoulder or strap of the dress is a frequent request. This can be done easily. Any lace, beading etc can be maintained so the dress looks exactly the same except now it will fit perfectly.
Sleeves
Yes! Sleeves can be added to your dress. Options include cap sleeve or butterfly sleeve.
Bustle
A lot of wedding dresses don’t have buttons and loops already attached to bustle your train. This is a simple addition which means that you can dance the night away.
How Much?
The price will vary depending on the alteration required, the amount of layers, the type of fabric and whether any embellishments need to be moved.
Costs can be estimated once the dress is seen.
